Full background

From the periodontal assessment to the inflammatory profile

The gum is not isolated from the rest of the body. Periodontitis sustains chronic inflammation, linked in particular to diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

At the first treatment session, a bacterial sample and a blood sample complement the periodontal assessment: they help individualise follow-up, together with the patient's doctor.

Periodontitis treatment by mechanical instrumentation combined with laser

Periodontitis is an inflammation of the tissues that support the teeth. Initial periodontal treatment covers the whole mouth in a single session, all six dental sextants.

Fine tips clean each root below the gum; a diode or Er:YAG laser complements this cleaning when needed.

Gum grafts and recession

When the gum recedes, the root is exposed and becomes sensitive. A gum graft can cover it and thicken the gum.

Bone grafts and regeneration

When bone is lacking, it is rebuilt before or during implant placement. For larger defects, a custom titanium mesh protects the graft and holds its shape.

Implant dentistry and implant surgery

When a tooth is missing, an implant replaces its root. Its position is planned in advance on 3D imaging; placement takes place in the practice’s operating room.
